Pupil premium is additional funding provided to schools by the Government to support pupils within certain categories.
Ever 6 FSM
The pupil premium for 2022 to 2023 will include pupils recorded in the October 2021 school census who are known to have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) in any of the previous 6 years (ie since summer 2015), as well as those first known to be eligible at October 2021.
Children adopted from care or who have left care
The pupil premium for 2022 to 2023 will include pupils recorded in the January 2022 school census and alternative provision census who were looked after by an English or Welsh local authority immediately before being adopted, or who left local authority care on a special guardianship order or child arrangements order (previously known as a residence order). These are collectively referred to as post-LAC in these conditions of grant.
Ever 6 service child
For the purposes of these grant conditions, ever 6 service child means a pupil recorded in the January 2022 school census who was eligible for the service child premium in any of the previous 6 years, as well as those recorded as a service child for the first time on the January 2022 school census.
At Sir William Robertson we use this additional funding in a range of ways to support pupils who qualify for pupil premium. Each year we put together a comprehensive plan of interventions that we feel will best allow our pupils to meet their full potential. At the end of the academic year we then analyse the impact of the interventions to ensure they provide good value for money and that progress has been made.

If your child is eligible (within the first three of the four categories for the allocation of Pupil Premium) and you would like financial support with any school visit or with music lessons, please put your request in writing to the headteacher or e-mail via finance@swracademy.org.
Further support is planned later in the year once the allocation of Pupil Premium for our school has been passported to us from the Local Authority and EFA.
