Sir William Robertson Academy’s aim is for all of our pupils to Aspire to be the best that they can be, and this core principle drives our vision for our carefully planned and structured curriculum. Children come first at our school and this is a principle which guides all of our Trust’s schools. We embrace the quotation from the pioneering aviator Amelia Earhart, ‘No Borders, Just Horizons’ as a message of boundless optimism and opportunity for our pupils if they embrace all that our school has to offer.

We are proud of our House system at Sir William Robertson Academy. Our House names have been carefully chosen and represent a diverse set of cultures for our students to be inspired by:

• Seacole House after Mary Seacole

• Windrush House after the Windrush Generation

• Robertson House after Sir William Robertson

• Attenborough House after Sir David Attenborough.

Every student and member of staff belongs to a House. Houses compete in a variety of sporting, academic and artistic competitions throughout the year, where students receive House Points for both victory and participation. House Points are also received through our Rewards System.
